Welcome

We would like to thank you in advance for visiting our new website.

As you can tell, we are working at building a new, exclusive senior’s community in Shawville on the property surrounding Shaw Lake. We hope to have zoning approval soon and then we plan to start construction in November 2008. We are predicting an occupancy date sometime in the spring of 2009. Over the next few months we will be updating our site and providing more information as we proceed. We are currently working on floor plans for the rooms and updated building designs.

Our vision for our community is apartment-style living with the privacy of your own room but with the advantage of always having someone there for you. The first phase will consist of a large 20 suite building with a common recreation/sun room (over 4,000 sq.ft.) and a large restaurant-style dining room with pleasant service and great food. The building will also include a private room for family get-togethers or meetings, a chapel and a hair dressing/personal care room. We will also provide on-site staff around the clock. It is a five minute walk from Shaw Residence to the Shawville Hospital and just a few minutes further to downtown Shawville.

Our community will also offer room service, organized outings, laundry service, driver service, bus trips, guest speakers and other types of recreation and events which will be determined by the occupants.

We look forward to hearing from you and hope you will take a few minutes to complete our survey. We want as much input from the public as we can get in order to make our community an enjoyable place to live.

Our office is currently taking preliminary bookings for interested people and will be contacting prospective residents over the summer to confirm interest and to arrange for a personal meeting to take place this fall to go over all aspects of the contract. You do not have to make any legal commitment now, so if you are at all interested, contact our office and ask that your name be added to our list of prospective residents.

Thank you,
Tom and Suzie Orr
